Font - YAO @theyaobansah I'm going to break down on why having strict parents sets you up for failure later in life. A Thread:

Font - YAO @theyaobansah Replying to @theyaobansah Relationships: you don't get to make friends outside of a school environment because you can't go anywhere and then when you finally do get to an age where you can go out, it's too late because everyone already has their clicks and friend groups

Font - YAO @theyaobansah Replying to @theyaobansah Career: What you want to do with your life is out of the question, you're going to school to do what they want you to do because "money is more important than happiness" which means your stress will 10OX worse because it wasn't even the path you wanted in the first place.

Rectangle - YAO @theyaobansah Replying to @theyaobansah Communication: everybody with strict parents stops trying to communicate at a young age because they don't want to be seen as a burden or hear the words "no" again

Font - YAO @theyaobansah Replying to @theyaobansah Discipline: when kids with strict parents finally get to go off on their own they have a harder time knowing when to rein the fun in. Since they aren't accustomed to going out or being able to do what they want they tend to overdo it which can lead to serious problems

Font - YAO @theyaobansah Replying to @theyaobansah Moral of the story is: Rebel. Your parents can either hate you now and get over it or you can be 60 hating yourself and blaming all your problems on people that are probably dead by then

Font - LeMoine M @JudeAntenor Replying to @theyaobansah That's not what strict parents look to me. PS: I'm a dad, I'm strict with my daughter but l'm none of what you listed above. What I consider strict is: 1- Go to bed on time. 2- eat vegetables and fruits even if you don't like it. 3- clean up your mess 4- please and thank you Etc
